I'm not sure about that person, but I know a Jake Shimabukuro. He plays ukalele in a few bands here and in Hawaii. He even played with Jimmy Buffet in Anguilla. Not sure if they are related or not. But that would be cool, because Jake Rocks !!

Agree....Jake rocks. He played in Naha in 2008. Saw him play on stage with Buffett in Hawaii in 2007.

I am trying to locate Sueko Shimabukuro-last known address was Takahara, Okinawa City. She had signed a legal document with the JAG's Legal Assistance Office and further documentation is needed, but it seems she is no longer there. If anyone knows the 5-6-15 Takahura district - please relay to her to contact the JAG Office at the USMC Legal Assistance Office - attN: 1st Lt. Shinn.

That is an address not a district I would suggest to you not to put personal information like that on a message board. Have them PM you instead.

And it's probably Takahara not Takahura.:)

I live in the 5-17-3 area of Okinawa City. My apt or house adress is not included. If you can find me, bring me some beer. It's similar to a zip code, just smaller in area.

The only houses (AFAIK) that have an actual number on them are either SOFA rentals, or prior SOFA rentals. My house has no number, just the lot number for the land.

Okay. My address painted on my house is written like that.

That's not true. Many houses abd shops have addresses like that. Not only prior sofa rentals.

Not true Doc, Houses (Apt.) in Business zoning districts use numbers also, but that's the only example I can think of.

That is the entire address minus the zip code. If you were to address an envelope with that address on it and send it, it would go to that house.

Some houses have addresses on them others don't, even in Naha as well.

But the majority of them do not.

Number or not? Dont follow that part, but I would take your challenge up if you give me the address. One does not need a GPS nor telephone to find any building here.

Also plenty of houses now a days don't have telephones either.

That blank is the important part. The address in the OP made it easy to find by including the district name, Takahara. You give me the district you live in with that number and your house would be relatively easy to locate.

Either way I thought you lived in Sunabe, Chatan and not Okinawa City.

Also if that was your address too you would be living about 4 blocks away from the address listed in the OP. :grin1:

I live near that area,its the only reson I know it, it funny though, I go to a bar and a snack that are next door to each other one has the address Takahara,the other Okinawa City, I never get them straight when I call for a Taxi.

Ok but first off there is no district in Nakagusuku Village named Shimabukuro.

However there is one in Kitanakagusuku　and you have a soba shop just down the road from your apartment building right? Miyako Soba I think it is called.

you are right,I wrote it wrong,it is kitanakagusuku, soba shop,not that I'm aware of, but what is suppose to be one of the best Yagi shops is if that helps you.

And that is why they separate the addresses as well by using the word chome in Japanese. For example in Urasoe there is the Miyagi District and it is separated into 6 different chome. Miyagi i chome, ni chome, etc etc etc.

Every place I've ever lived here had a three digit number that identified my specific residence. If it was an apt bldg there was also an apt number.

Still looking for Sueko Shimabukuro. Is the address I have a real address? Can anyone go there? She may be hot and she may drink beer, but I just need her signature and I am in Florida USA. Anyone with time of their hands can go see. Good deeds are always rewarded. (sometimes with beer).
