I am wondering if anybody is in this current situation or has tried this.

I am currelnty getting seperated, awaiting MEB descison, More then likely will get severance pay, but possiblity for Medical retirment.

My plan is to move back to Okinawa, and attend UMUC with Post 9-11 G.I. Bill. If I do not get medical retirment then I will not be affilated with the military.

But I heard there is a way to get a student pass to attend college on base.

Just wondering if anybody is currently doing this or has tried.

Any info is greatly appricated

Just contact the UMUC rep when you get here. You will be able to get a pass to attend classes. You will have to renew it each quarter though. Many of the classes you are able to take online now too, so you may want to look into that.

I am currenlty taking classes with Phoenix, but with the post 9/11 GI Bill I will not get the Housing allowence if only doing distance learning classes. And the current BAH for maryland is just over $1900.
