I don't know...but Kinser has ridiculous hours...I went there to grab a bite to eat and they were closed at 6 pm!! Even the hours said they were open til 7 pm. I like Wendy's though, they're burgers are a lot better, but the french fries will never be the same.

On an upside note BK has been reopening opening franchises in Japan. Maybe its only a matter of time before one makes it's way down here to help fill the void.

Are their burgers the same size as they are on the bases or are they the dinky little ones McD's uses out here? I also love the base BK french fries. :D

They're supposed to be the same size. They were talking about how the price wars that took them out of business in the 90's are long gone and that bigger burgers are a hot item these days.

As far as the McD's burgers being smaller out here I never noticed. I remember eating at the McDonald's on Atsugi AB and thought the burgers looked about the same. Now they did have Quarter Pounders though (yums)
And the fry and drink sizes were freaking huge!!!

That is old news really. Rumor has been floating around for a few months that they lost their contract. Just waiting for the changes to take place now.

...but why Wendy's??? The only thing I ever had worth a damn at Wendy's was a Frosty, and the potato bar!

Personally I don't eat at fast food restaurants. It may be tasty but it's not good for you. If I were to eat any of that stuff it wouldn't be more than once a month. :old:

I am not a fan of Wendy's....ice cold lettuce, ice cold tomato, ice cold cheese, ice cold onion, straight out of the fridge ketchup and mustard put on a warm burger and all you get is a bun and cold everything else. The burger isn't think enough to maintain heat against all the fresh outta the fridge condiments added to it. Sheesh, the cheese isn't even melted.

I am a fry person, and all their fries I have ever tried have sucked. they are nice think fries, but usually aren't fried all the way and don't have enough salt, if I am gonna splurge & clog my arteries I at least wanna enjoy doing so. :)

Now their frosty, I agree is yummy.

lol my buddy used to complain he couldn't lose weight. He worked out a little bit, but got lazy. That, and he used to go to BK and get quad stackers all the time.

I know BK isn't the best but wendys is ten times less appealing.

I spoke with two friends with AAFES this week about this (one works for BK) and neither could/would confirm this rumor. That doesn't mean that it's not true, but I haven't seen anything posted here that was backed up. So until something real is posted I won't believe this.

It's probably one of those rumors that have been around forever, but aren't true. Kinda like the one that said USAF basic training is going to be 8 weeks, they'll have to carry a rifle all the time, and their uniforms will be the first to say "US Space Force". I heard that one once I was in BMT and I'm still hearing it today:rolleyes:

Maybe it's a ploy from BK to make people rush their and buy the whopper before "it's gone".

You know, I think I recall hearing the same circulation off and on while we were there. Like you said, until we see legitimate info on the subject, I wouldn't put too much weight on it.

LoL!
I thought there was a dateline for the US Aerospace Force title change.....20something but it's been quite a few years, I don't remember what it was.
Too funny that you brought that up though.
Made me chuckle.
