It's important to set strong passwords... The forum can only protect accounts so much...

Should I use my social security number as my password?:D
Should I use my social security number as my password?:D
It's better than 123456, but no... I don't suggest it. Does this forum have a built-in lock-out measure? I doubt it. If it doesn't, then a brute force password attack could tear through a number in probably a few seconds... But there's really no reason for hackers to want to tear into a forum account. You're not Britney Sthpears. lol.

Where is that af blues comic making fun of the air force passwords when you need it?:D
Normally, I use a random combination of upper/lower case letters and numbers.
Letters and numbers are ok, but throw in a symbol or two. Here, make it easy on yourself. Throw in @ or ! at the beginning and end of your passwords. Or change all the a's with @, s's with $, i's with 1, e's with 3, etc. Basically, take a leetspeak class. :p
@ppl3j@ck$ is going to take A LOT longer to guess than applejacks. lol. Plus, in most places, your password is stored as a hash, and the hash for applejacks can easily be found. You can't decrypt a hash, but you can basically reverse engineer one...

Make one really strong one and use it (and variations when it expires) everywhere. :) Then you're set.

I think there are many reasons a hacker would want to hack into JU accounts.

What a retard - 123456 is such a stupid password!! Only a dumb ass would use that as a password!
I always use "password" for my passwords. Now thats a strong password, it would take a million hackers a million years to get into any of my accounts.

Awesome. Congrats to him again about his latest accomplishment. :)
I haven't met any CEH's, so now I REALLY want to meet him. :)
Can you ask him for me, compared to his most recent cert, how hard was the test for the CEH?

He says : "The CEH its a breeze by compared. With the CEH it's knowledge based not interpretation based off of the CIA triad."
He has quiet a few certifications already..

Yeah, that's kind of what I expected. I think in the CEH they get into HOW to do it where the CISSP was more about general concepts and was a mile wide and a foot deep.

Yes and No. The CEH is similar in the aspect of being a mile wide and a foot deep as well. The nuts and bolts of how things work and what can and can't be applied is knowledge that is challenged but beyond the CEH would be the real fun which I will be going for soon is CPT/LPT.
..
of course i didnt type that
