Google now has some very impressive street view coverage of Okinawa :first: I got a few spots I'd like to share with people...

Most of those aren't too far from my house. :) And Google street views has been on iPhone for sometime now (http://googlesightseeing.com/2008/11/24/google-street-view-on-iphone/). :rolleyes: Welcome to last year (http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/article/iphone_google_street_view/). :D

I heard several people killed themselves there. It was so bad that they just shut the place down and nobody wants to buy it. My bro in law is a manager for Sunshine and he seems to have all the info on it. I'll ask him about it. That place is also right up the hill from my house:thumbup1:

Dude. I want to do a shoot there. If he can somehow get me a phone number so I can call for access I would love it!
I am still on the line with some people from Sunset Inn up North trying to get access inside.
But yea, PM me, let me know. I'd like to get inside and shoot some rolls of film.

LMAO...I've been telling the wife for years that I wanted to buy that "haunted" pachinko parlor and remodel it into a sweet ass house! I can imagine making that into one cool pad...ghosts or not.

Holy crap that is awsome. I was able to zoom in on my house and see the wife's car in the driveway. These shots are not more than 3 weeks old and I did notice a gut laying out maping plans a few weeks ago. I guess this is what he was doing.

The only way I was able to tell was that the neighbor's car was in the parking area and a few other tell tale things.

After touring Street View I'm not sure I was ever on Okinawa. There doesn't appear to be any vestige of old Okinawa that I could see.

Judging from the highway construction, the imagery near my house is from no later than March or April, but it's possible it's from even earlier.

What is the story behind the haunted Pachinko place? Not that there is any shortage of haunted places there. Ghost Hunters could stay there for three years and not run out of places to investigate.

One of my friends used to live in that building also, but that was back in the 80s. :D I lived down the street from there across from the MCAS Futenma running course chinup bar thing area and next to the Union which shows as a dirt plot on that Google map. :p

Alot of the overhead satellite shots could be years old, i checked one of my old apt in NC, and can distinctly tell it was at least three years old. also keeping them old is good for privacy and security reasons.
