Cucumber soda? Pepsi Cucumber hits Japanese stores

Japanese are staying cool as a cucumber this summer with "Pepsi Ice Cucumber" -- a new soda based on the crisp green gourd.
The soft drink, which hit stores here on Tuesday, doesn't actually have any cucumber in it -- but has been artificially flavored to resemble "the refreshing taste of a fresh cucumber," said Aya Takemoto, spokeswoman of Japan's Pepsi distributor, Suntory Ltd.
If there's one thing about Japan and their vending machines, they're definitely open to just about anything. This sounds terrible.

Ok, so this time I posted.....and it never showed up! LOL
I just can't win for losing today!

Cucumbers are light and refreshing, perhaps the soda would be too.
However, it sounds awfully weird to try.
Maybe it would last like.....oh crud I just lost the name of the one soda I used to get there. It always made me think of grapefruit....or that one glacier gatorade.

We both think it's foul. :barf: I can't get the taste out of my mouth. He's drinking a beer now, so that helps him. I'm stuck with apple soda, which doesn't really help. I think, I must eat a donut now... mmm, donut. :-|

Yeah I remember hearing about it and seeing it the stores a few months ago. Still there. Another thing that's as equally disgusting is that Pepsi nex.
The San A that my wife and I go to wont restock the shelves with regular Pepsi until they get rid of their Pepsi Nex stock. From what they told us that was directed to them by the local Pepsi rep. We usually just have one of the workers go to the back and get a couple of bottles of the regular Pepsi.:)

My youongest loves it. Personally I dont drink any Pepsi products other than Mountain Dew.:D

I'm glad someone likes it. Maybe it's an acquired taste.
