Ear Buds

The ear buds that came with my Touch are alright but a little uncomfy and I like retractables. I like the remote for volume and pause on the mic. I'm interested in getting a pair of retractables with a mic, but actually the retractable's case may scratch the touch while in my pocket together, whereas the regular style can be wrapped around the Touch and possibly even protect it.

Any ear bud suggestions?

I've got two pairs of "in ear" ear buds. A panasonic brand which isn't bad and more comfortable then the apple version. I believe I got them at yamada denki or best denki for about 1,900 yen. Then there is my generic "gemei" brand ear buds I picked up at one of the many electronic markets in Thailand. I believe it said they were made in japan but i haven't seen that brand name at any store I've ever been in. They're extremely comfortable and I only paid 400 baht for them:thumbup:

:edit: I used to own a pair of the apple "in ear" ear buds. They were more comfortable then the regular ear buds that came with my ipod but they cost 40 bucks:thumbdown:

I can get with the ear buds. I tried and tried, but its just ot as comfy for me. Plus they fall out at the gym. I've ended up sticking with the over the ears myself.

Anyway, if you are down to blow some crazy cash, there are al sorts of premium companies out there. I guess Skullcandy is supposed to be real big, though I don't know what makes them premium. http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/headphones-earphones-c-42_55.html

The skullcandys are great, I have a pair (rasta colored) <3 They're awesome when in transit because they come with a little cloth baggy to put them in so they don't harm your iTouch. Also they come with a different set of cushions just incase you need a smaller size. Well worth the cost and you get different color. :)

That sound's great but looks like they don't make one w/ a mic.

Just for a heads up. After much in-depth research and a close-call on almost going through with a Skullcandy purchase (read many bad reviews on these), I remembered my favorite ear buds, Emerge retractable http://gadgetgirlstore.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/retrakin.png?w=150&h=150 . They were under $20 and had excellent sound, comfort and durability. Most other ear buds bother me and are painful. My old pair is actually still kickin' 3 years after I got 'em. I just lost one of the silicone tips and I needed a mic. They have the non-mic version at the PX and BX if you're in the market for a good, quality pair.
