Hello everyone. This is Dawn from Singapore.
Have been living on Okinawa for about 5months now (my husband is local)..
I have been reading Japanupdate (the paper) and also the online forums since coming here....my only english source on the island...:first:

this is a great site and i have been reading the posts regularly and sometimes they make me smile... have been "lurking in the dark" though ..a teeny bit shy cos i suppose most of you are from the states..(ofcourse, im not saying that you guys aren't friendly...im just shy..) :o

Yeah I have been to Paul and Mike's they are both good people, and it is a fun place to go once in a while. I dont live too close to there so it isnt as easy to get there more often. But everytime I have been there it was a great time.

Hope to see you around here more often! Dont let our annoying conversations get to you please. It is just "talk" and nothing more than that.

I already know that you are the most popular and likeable guy here cos i have read some of your "battles" on the forums...sometimes the respones gets real ugly but sometimes you state the facts like it is ...it is good in a sense that everyone gives their opinions and let off a bit of steam sometimes! looking forward to more discussion topics!! I really don't like to leave the house on my weekend. So I usually just hang out on the forums, throw on a movie, or watch TV... Yeah, I should get out more. There's just nothing I want to do more than relax...

But there's TONS to see and do on Okinawa. If you tell me a little about what you like doing I might be able to give some recommendations! :)

I love to go driving around the island and see what I can find. Unfortunately my wife just likes to go shopping, which sucks to do every single weekend. That, and the traffic tends to make me want to stay inside on the weekends.
