Interesting but I'll have to see it to believe it (the widesread transition to this similar to color from B&W, not the possibilty of the technology).

This would be a PITA for us with prescription glasses. I'm holding out for the 3D that doesn't require special glasses. They say that will be a reality in 10-15 yrs.

yeah theses set start rolling off the line next year. but they are also saying the the current BR technology will be obsolete...... but sony is pushing this also , so next years PS3 and BR will have the technology built in. IMHO the TV set should be able to render 3d w/o the BS glasses.....but htis is good news that means current OLED and LCD screens prices may drop
