I didn't find it impressive at all. It was rolling -- not walking. When I was a child we had psuedo robots that were doll size that whirred around on legs but on the base were wheels.

This thing wouldn't have been able to walk if it had been on dirt or gravel, I imagine.

This walker has been around for several years. I first saw it around 4 years ago.
The okinawan "shuffle" aside (swish, swish, swish)...it is a quite nice and polished project.

androidworld.com covers many of these projects.

Reminds me of ED-209 another walking robot that couldn't navigate an ordinary flight of stairs :D
