I got a date tonight. I'm taking Mrs. Burns out. Where's a nic restating or maybe izakaya that looks fancy but not expensive.
I don't want SAMs. A unique place would be nice.
Usually we just eat wherever and go out drinking but I want to impress her this time.

There is an Izakaya on the second floor on Koza music town that's pretty nice and not too expensive. The have rooms that offer some privacy with sliding doors.
I can't remember the name at the moment, but it's the first one on the right just above baskin robbins.

Took my girlfriend to Maehara's red light district for a date once. I think she enjoyed it.

i think yakiniku places are good too IMHO. it's more interactive than just ordering your food and eating it.

Yeah, but while most men really won't mind if their date smells like bbq, not many women are turned on by that smell, and most likely it won't lead to a roll in the sack later.
Take her to something Italian, or maybe Chinese (but not Dragon's).

That's why you get all good and liquored up at a bar together after dinner. The smell of alcohol and cigarette smoke should cover up that mood-ruining smell of bbq.
Besides, marriage is what usually wont lead to a roll in the sack later, not the wonderful aroma of yaki niku. :) Also, I've heard marriage is the number one cause of divorce. :w00t:

RB sorry for chiming in late, but we had that disscusion today and ended up in a place that I have been to a few times before, but was not really thinking of tonight. It was the Fishersman Warf in Yomitan. Close to home and now they have Maine lobsters. Just to be able to sit outside and relax to a good meal was awsome. There were not many folks there, so life was good.

IDK, I'd rather a woman smell like a yakiniku joint over an ashtray:D
People don't smell like ashtrays. Ashtrays smell like people.

ROR I guess. But what you do after the yakiniku place is take her to the pimp suite at the love motel. They usually have awesome hot tubs, then you guys can scrub the yakiniku smell out of each other:D

my hubby and i went out to eat at Stax last night to try something different. it wasn't bad. the staff was really nice and gave us a lot of extra goodies. afterwards we walked to transit cafe on the sunabe seawall for a couple drinks. it was a nice little chill spot.

If you don’t mind travel, the izakaya located in the same vicinity as Family Mart and the big goofy looking tree restaurant (Harbor View?) way south is a nice place. Has some fish tanks and music videos playing on the wall... 100Y beer too I believe. :thumbup1:

My Girl is a devout Pizza House fan, but that place can be a bit pricey. If you go, make sure o get a reservation and ask for Bar lounge seating. Its wayyyyy nicer. Also, for Sushi and very Japanese cuisine, try this place by Kadena called Tonneau. You cant miss it. The building is shaped like a beer keg. The food is great, not too pricey, and inside is actually very swanky looking.

Good Date? The bridge to Ikei-jima. Get some grub and have a nice late picnic and watch the sunset over okinawa. Sometimes i think its prettier when the sun sets over the island instead of just over the horizon.

Nothing is more romantic then sitting on the seawall and watching the cats with rancid skin walk back and forth.:D

Go to a beach where you can find sea shells with her and where the water depth is enough for her to piggyback on you as you wade through. It's 'mantic and stuff.

Here's what happened. I was all set to go then we had to pick the kids up. The grandparents had something come up and couldn't watch them anymore. So all plans were canceled. Still had fun when the kids fell asleep. Last night was nice. I finally got a grill and charcoal. Had a BBQ on the porch an drank beers together.
