I believe American society is mostly comprised of fair and decent people!

I believe American society is mostly comprised of racist/bigoted/biased people!

__________________________________________________ _______________

Most voters (69%) continue to believe that American society is generally fair and decent, showing no change from last month. Only 21% see society as generally unfair and discriminatory.

The bottom one. The top one usually ends up shifting to Communism, which spurs a dictatorship, which means the country will probably become a 3rd world shitehole.

Hmm. If only the complexities and nuances of governing a nation could be boiled down to a simple, black or white multiple choice test.

That's the problem these days, I guess. Everybody wants you to pick a "side." You can't even run your own houeshold that way, let alone a country!

Wow. That's an extreme. The bottom one COULD lead to fascism, but it's usually a Republican tactic to use extreme worst-case scenarios to try and scare people over to thier side.

My apology Spadesy. My edit of my post may necessitate a change your response.

Why did you change the original question after people already started posting?

Not sure if this was in response to my response as it pertained to the original question (huh? yeah, sorry about the wording), or after Daniel changed the question.

I'm apathetic toward politics really. But from my understanding, socialist and communist countries, historically, tend to suck and/or be oppressive.

I did not realize that it had had any responses, it was only after changing it did I see that it had been commented on. Plus I didn't know that the thread would post without the poll being done.

I had two "polls" I was trying to post and mixed up the options...no excuse, just an explanation.

and ususally a combination Democrat tactic to promise the poor a bunch of free handouts that will never materialize, and play to the emotions of the public trying to convince them that a vote for Dem is a vote against "The Man"

your duplicate thread was deleted danny... why change this thread and created the same thread over again...?

Been indulging in adult beverages, no excuse jsut a fact...figures I would finally figure out the "poll" option but screw it up. Didn't realized I posted the same poll twice...

Then you got guys who follow other guys like Ralph Nader and you don't really know WTF they're up to...you just know that, they're there, and they represent...something.

I believe much of American society is bigoted and biased but it's not so much race (although it still happens) but it's more class than anything IMO. Pretty much it's the elite using the poor as a scapegoat to blame for society's problem (blame the victim), the middle class getting assraped with taxes and a governmnet that doesn't give a rat's ass about the people.

The people I typically encounter are neither racists nor bigots. I think they reflect the best portion of America. All of us would gravitate towards those we share an identity with, be it ideals, faith, morals etc. I have found that skin color has very little to do with a person's integrity. I find I identify with those who share my values and these people come in all colors, shapes and sizes. What they have in common is that they are Americans or are on course to become one.

is this poll for americans or american military? because I find the two dont always act the same. In genral NO most people are not racist/bigoted/biased people! But the key word here is Most.
