I am new to the politics of Japan / Okinawa so please be gentle!
Do you feel any changes will come to Okinawa due to the DPJ?
It seems they are backing down and feeling resistance from the US in regards to the military presence.
Will the investment in Okinawa (including the OIST) continue? I believe I read an article dated last year that the then opposition was opposed to the development of the OIST?
Anyway would be interesting to get a feel for this!
