I can't say that where I am from that food trucks were popular. Once in a blue moon at like 4th of July or a city celebration there would be a taco truck or a rib truck. Even ice cream trucks were few and far between.

Yeah, me too. According to this though, there's some awesome street food to be had in the states these days. I'm gonna try to hit LA, San Fran, Milwaukee, DC, and NYC next time I'm stateside.

San Fran is like Mecca for a foody. I truly loved San Fransisco when I was there and would move there in a heart beat.

I have yet to go to SF myself. Wish I'd have taken the ride up while I lived in SD. I hear great things about their food as well.

I was just thinking, I bet some people would never go there cause of the whole homo stigma. But supposedly Minneapolis has them beat (in that area) and I only got vaguely hit on once there while shopping at J Crew.

Too be honest, I didn't really notice a "huge" amount of homosexual people. Maybe that is a misconception since California is such a liberal state and I mean LIBERAL. Even though it's a huge city with ton of buildings, there were only a few locations that would wear on me. The Tenderloin was one of them. The surrounding areas were just as awesome as San Fransisco since there was Napa Valley, Marin, etc. I even got to drive through the ritz areas in San Fransisco and not really feel out of place. The Golden Gate State Park is stunning. It's like a nature oasis in the middle of down town San Fran. I recommend the trip. It's definitely worth the time and money.
