ITunes Freedom

So, could anyone explain an easy way of converting Itunes files to files capable of being played elsewhere and/or burned to disc? Particularly movies, I'd love to have the freedom of buying movies through ITunes and then copying them to a DVDR without searching a PX that I know won't have what I want anyways. And I don't feel like droppin' more cash for AppleTV.

i commend that you are legally purchasing your media, but i think itunes video is a waste of time. Tis better to download by bittorrent :D the easiest thing to do would be to get a laptop and hook up a video cable.
