I never imagined myself reenlisting in the Air Force after being seperated for 12 years :ohmy:. I'm thinking about enlisting in the Air Force Reserves just to get an Air Reserve Technician job in Okinawa. Any ART's in Okinawa wanna share their experiences?

Once enlisted, the Air Force gotcha by the TESTICALES. It would really suck to enlist in the AFR just to move back to Okinawa and then the Air Force decides my specialty is needed stateside. Any ART's in Okinawa with comments?

Are you sure that Okinawa has ART positions? I inquired about an ART job listing on usajobs.com (Yokota). They replied back and said it was bogus and no Air Bases in Japan have ART slots anymore, this was roughly 2 years ago.

I do not know of anybody that actually has an ART job in Japan. Hell, I do not know of an AF Reserve Unit in Japan. Their are job annoucements on USAJOBS that ask are you willing to accept an ART position, so I assumed their is ART jobs in Japan.

The question, "Are you willing to accept an ART position", is actually a question from the "Assessment Questionnaire" in the "Application Manager". Kadena AB has a few vacancies for Civil Engineers (see job annoucement AFPC274240YD-0810-02DB) that ask the ART question.
