How much money do you spend your money for food in one month?

I cook food myself in my house, and I also make bento.
I go to eat out twice a month. It spend about 8,000 yen for one month.

We typically spend $600.00 a month on food, including eating at restaurants and fast food. We used to spend half that, but now we have a teenaged boy in the house. :-|

kids are expensive!!! or so it seems!!!

I try to get by on 30,000 per month for food.
sometimes we go over, sometimes under.

But I am amazed at how cheap some things are here compared to Tokyo

I don't know honestly. We just shop when we want and go out to eat regularly. If I had to guess maybe 50,000Y per month.

We go through Diet Coke like it's water in my house though. That's probaly a good 25% of our grocery bill.

WOW guys, I must need to learn to budget...
I spend about $750 a month on food. That does NOT count going out, or alcohol, or random drunk walks to familymart or HottoMotto!

We spend less than $200 a month for 3, that will increase as my son is growing and already starting to eat a scary amount of food. That cost does not include what we grow and produce ourselves, which is probably between 50-75% of our food.

Beer gets its own budget category, I might spend 50 a month on that. If we lived in Okinawa full time, I'm sure our costs would be far higher, stuff is ridiculous here. Well, I had an awesome bento here today that was only 250 yen.

$50 per day * 30 days in a month = Around $1500 per month. Expense account. Anyone hungry?

I know that we spend about $700/month at the commissary, probally another $300/month at the local stores and as for going out (lunch and dinners) that is about $400-$600/month. Izakaya's and resturants are way to good to pass up, but I can not wait for my daughters to go out on a date and see how that dinner goes. I think I have raised that bar really high
