It's an MMORPG, has anyone played it??? Does anyone know if it's worth it? i am getting tired of WoW and The Sims 3 is getting a lil old (but i like the iphone app). I am looking for something that is a little more exciting and less frustrating as WoW....

I have a couple of friends who play EVE Online fanatically. From the few times that I've watched them, it seems like the kind of game that requires a lot of time investment before it begins to pay off. I've watched them have some pretty cool-looking spaceship battles, but they've been playing for years. Also, I think it has a very steep learning curve, so it might not fit the less frustrating bill.
