Kinda breaks the illusion, doesn't it..?
I've been working with industrial robotics programming for awhile now, and I can say that even under completely controlled circumstances, there is a margin for error. No matter how precise or human-like robots are today, they are only capable of doing what they are programmed to do.
Apparently Asimo doesn't have a "get up" subroutine..
I did a little programming of my own.. Honda may copy the routine if it helps..
10 Get up
20 If Get up= Fail then goto 10
30 End
Just type "run"..

At the Kajimoto Laboratory, engineers have developed a helmet that can be used to guide the visually impaired by tugging their ears. It seems that this guy dreams of a day when it could be used to tug something else.

Unfortunately for nerds, the woman isn't a robot—she still has free will. On the other hand, technology like this does have potential in navigational devices that don't require visual cues. I don't know much about Asimo - but after seeing this it seems more like a remote-controlled toy than anything else. It's able to walk around on a level surface, and balance itself going up stairs
