Want to build a website

I want to build a website for the following reasons:

- Post some of the things I'm doing and working on (ala blog, just less blowhardy)
- Store copies of irreplaceable data (pictures, documents, etc.)
- Share files with friends and family

I estimate I'll need @500 GB of storage space initially. I won't need alot of upload/download bandwidth.

I'm expecting to pay @ $15/month.

Does anyone know of a good web host that matches all these requirements?

I want to store information both on-site and off-site, therefore I can protect my data against catastrophic loss of one or the other.

2 HDDs both burn in a fire. I suppose I could leave one at work...
