View Full Version : Duh News
I see this every week. I'll be browsing through a few dozen news feeds and every now and then will run into a story title that just seems obvious, which makes me wonder why the story was even written. This isn't so much about the story. It's more about the title. So if you run across a news story with a "duh..." title, feel free to post it here. I see these every week, so I'll try to post in here pretty frequently. I'll get this started.
In dating, men go for good looks (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20584453/) (Really?)

Sad that some men have to drink for a woman to look attractive. Says a lot about them. For one, they must not be good looking themselves or have a flakey personality if they cant get an attractive woman. But I guess that is just when a guy is just looking for a one night stand and dont really care what the chick looks like so he has to drink himself to a point where she looks hot so he will be more aroused.

I don't think anyone is looking for a hot date when they're out partying. If they are they're fooling themselves :) But the alcohol does help. It probably has nothing to do with the fact they can or cannot get an attractive woman. There is just none available to them at the moment. Sometimes you have to cut your losses and settle. Some of those guys are looking for a slump buster too. :)
Its like grocery shopping when you're really hungry. You end up getting something you don't want or need.

Suuuure turn it around and call the guy ugly:D
Besides, why would you want to pick up anybody at the club? Sure there are normal dating type girls at the club (one in a few hundred), but the bar skanks (both male and female) far out number them.
Not saying you can't meet a good girl or boy at the club.:)
Like I said before, it depends on which clubs you go to. Hinotama Hall in Naha has some pretty classy women.

The sample size for this study was very low, too low, in fact, for me to believe the stated conclusions were scientific. Also, physical attractiveness is culturally subjective. Men in some cultures find heavy women to be attractive, while in other cultures heavy women would not be considered attractive. Do you believe the smell of a person is a factor in attracting a mate? Some recent research would have you believe smell is a much larger factor in attracting a mate than is commonly believed. *sniff* *sniff*

Yes, not smelly like a sweaty ass crack helps get a mate.

don't you still have to send in a picture of yourself with most japanese resumes? Kinda like if you're ugly you're not working here.
