Wow couldn't get a transfer in Narita? I haven't had to take the bus in over a year.

The Limousine bus desk is right there as soon as you walk out of the customs door.

Grab a limo bus to Haneda.

if i recall correctly all or most of the signs have english on them, or just ask a worker. there are more people there with a decent grasp of english than you would think. or she could just show her ticket and they could point her in the right direction.

The bus counter is really easy to find and navigate. Get your ticket and go stand on the proper line outside. There is also a train which we are planning on using this time (son is a train fanatic), but not sure how that all works.

If I can get a ticket and get on the right bus while jetlagged and exhausted, anybody can. IIRC the ride is about an hour.

I was surprised, we're flying ANA and have to go to Haneda to fly to Naha. Mrs. Gibbon said something about them not having flights from Narita to Okinawa anymore.

There's usually a transit representative from the airline at the terminal gate as you exit who will answer transit questions. Tell her to carry light if possible. Also don't forget that you can sometimes request better seating (not necessarily door) for a fee if you request, pay at the ticket counter upon check-in. It's useful on flights longer than six hours, especially for leggy people.

As everyone has said, it's pretty simple. When I went the bus ticket counter was right by the baggage claim and the bus picked you up right outside. The attendants spoke english and the signs were in english. Enjoyed an hour long bus ride and remember seeing tokyo tower and the rainbow bridge from a distance and thinking "wow hope I can see that someday":D

IIRC when I took it in 2005 the bus ticket price was 3000 yen.

Damn, no more transfers in Narita? That sucks, the bus ride is ok but if there's traffic it can take up to 3 hours. Not fun after flying 12 plus hours. :dead:

That might just be ANA, she isn't here to ask now. Yeah, one of the reasons I didn't want to fly Northwest was because of this. Last time I was there we had an 8 hour layover in Detroit. When I came home it was 27 hours from getting on the plane in Naha to getting off in New York, all flights were "on time".

One of these days I want to go through Kansai, I'd like to see the airport just once.

Cool thing is this summer we're staying in Tokyo on the way back to do some sightseeing, kind of breaks the trip up a little.

Northwest sucks big balls! Took me 30+ hours to get back to Okinawa 1 time. Chicago to Detroit to Minneapolis to Seattle to Tokyo to Okinawa. Never again.

But ANA is the is usually the one with transfers though Narita.
