...when someone's 2nd toe is longer than their big toe?
I won't say that I have a foot fetish, but I do notice these things, and I have noticed quite a bit in the last several years that many women's (I don't look at a lot of guys feet) 2nd toe is longer than the rest of their toes, including the big toe.
I'm not saying that anything is wrong with that, and it is a good chance that many people who read this will fall into this group, but I was wondering is there a connection between this and anything else?
The reason I ask is that I was reading about this somewhere else, and it was mentioned that this is connected with other physical "oddities", of which this idea I disagree. Just wondering if anyone here had something to add.

Funny you should mention it. One of my inlaws was saying something about people who's ring finger is longer than their index finger. Its shintainouryoku iirc. He was saying they're naturally athletic or something. As far as the toe thing goes I don't know. Maybe it has something to do with the shoes they've been wearing through out life.

no...my toes get gradually shorter as you move down from the big toe. I'm not saying anything is wrong with anyone...just wondering if there is any link to anything else.
Also...I doubt it has anything to do with shoes.

My second toe on my left foot is the longest (not on my right foot). Means I'm a genius freak.

That's basically what my friend was saying, but I disagree.

My ring fingers are longer than my index fingers, but I have no athletic prowess at all. I was even voted most injured player in school sports. :(

A bigger second toe means: Sometimes you gotta buy bigger shoes.
If a person's second toe is longer than the others, they are dependable, conservative and keep their emotions in check.
Old wives tales say it is a sign of dominance and intelligence, a quick wit and compassion. Also that the woman will be in charge of the relationship. If your big toe is longer, the man.

.
Its called a Morton Toe (some guy named Morton medically addressed it)
It is a difference in the location of the joints in the foot. It appears it is more prevalent in certain heritages
