I love talent shows like America's got talent and Britain's got talent far more than the Idol series. American Idol contestants are so pre-packaged it's hard for me to tell one from the next.

But there's something to be said for an out-of-work 40 something getting up on stage, in front of a packed house, and on TV in front of millions of people with one shot to make it or not, and live her dreams...

Weird since I don't watch TV ever, but I did catch that this lady is a self-described "spinster" who claims to have never been kissed. I think it's great if this is her goal, I prefer to see real talent over sparkly eye makeup and making noises like a squirrel in a blender.
