A quick question...
I'm leaving Okinawa, and I'm trying to pack up my house. I have a few old clothes that are still serviceable, just stuff I haven't worn in the last couple of years. I'm not interested in selling the stuff, but I really didn't want to throw them away if there was a place that could use them. Do any of you know any places that take old clothes like the Salvation Army, or something like that?

lol.....came out of lurkedom just to thank you for making me laugh...
I wouldn't take clothes to Manga souko, spend ages waiting for them to work out how much they are going to give you for them, which will probably be about 50yen if you are lucky.
Used to be some charity group on base which sent clothes to the Phillipines. Have to find out about that.
How soon are you leaving??

There is an Airmen's Attic on KAB that you can take them to. Or, just throw them up on Okiyardsales and JU for free.

Leaving somewhere around the middle of May...thanks for all the suggestions. The only reason I kinda didn't want to put themup on JU or Okiyardsales is because I didn't want to have to deal with all the random people calling my phone and coming by, then deciding if they did or didn't want them. If it gets to be too much of a hassle, I'm just going to use them for packing material or rags or just throw them away.
I'll call that airmens attic tomorrow though.

Dont wanna start a new thread since my question is kinda the same. But im the opposite, got clothes that I wanna get rid of but would like some $$$. Where's the best place to get rid of old uniforms, clothes and shoes??? Manga Souka is the big store close to the Awase Stadium right?
I'll take all of the clothes. I've been making an Otis pinyata. With more clothes, I could make several. I'm sure people would pay for a chance to beat the stuffing out of you!!! :D

Foster also has a thrift store up the hill from the gas station. I think it's open T/W/T 10-3 at least.
I hate dorking around with crap like that too.
Is the Mayor going to be present Friday night at the HR?

So the thrift store would buy the clothes?
