Since I get so bored with the constant bickering of the religious and political crybabies. I thought it would be a good idea to talk about something relevant to discuss.

So where have you traveled to in mainland Japan? Any aspirations to visit other places as well?

I've been to Tokyo and Yokohama. Also hoping to go to Sapporo, Kyoto, and Osaka.

Sapporo would be nice for winter matsuri, Kyoto for more of the historic parts of Japan, and Osaka, because well Osaka has a better sense of humor I guess. :D

I've been to Kyoto, Tokyo, and Fukuoka. I'd like to go back to Kyoto during each season and would love to get up to Hokkaido (buy some caramel:D). But next time I make to mainland japan I'll probably go to Osaka and Kyoto and skip Tokyo. I'd like to see the Ghibli museum in Tokyo (and visit the Shonen Jump store in Fukuoka again:D) but it's just too busy of a city for me.

:edit:

Kyoto had some good mochi

Fukuoka had some good ramen

Tokyo had some good izakayas:D

:double edit:

Oh and there was this gyoza izakaya in Fukuoka that had some of the best gyoza I've ever tasted:thumbup:

I've been to Sasebo, Beppu, Fukuoka, Kyoto, Osaka, Kamakura, Takayama, Gifu, Kobe, Iwakuni, Tokyo, Yokohama, Yokosuka, and Sapporo among many others. The snow festival in Sapporo is one you don't want to miss.

Wife is from mainland, so kinda been all over the place. Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto, Hokkaido, Nagano, and a bunch of small towns in between. I love mainland, hoping to get stationed up there sometime in the next 3 or 4 years. When I do leave Okinawa though, I will miss the weather. :(

Wow nthe Okinawa weather is the one thing i HATE about this place. Only the excuse for a winter time is GREAT. But the majority of the year is waaaaayyyy too hottttt.

I dated a girl who worked for JAL years ago so I got to see pretty much all of japan very cheap. I've enjoyed every city on my list, but Kobe and Sapporo are by far my favorite places to visit.

Japan is too freakin' cold. Okinawa is cold now. Can't wait until july/aug! Best time of the year, here that is

You can always get naked if it's too hot, but ya can't put on enough clothes if it's too cold!

true but my view is id rather put a jacket on than to sweat and deal with the humidity and that cruel oki sun.:smile4:

seriously when you walk 5 feet and are already covered in sweat the place is just too hot or when you get burned only after an hour of outside.
