Credit to the JP's, they are trying like heck to corral up the rice grinder banditos on 58. I watch the high speed chases every night from my perch on the 3rd floor of the SOJI and it is readily apparent that 1-the law needs to employ faster motorcycles than the banditos, 2-the banditos have absolutely no regard for the safety of the mature, peace loving majority of the Okinawa people, 3-the banditos have absolutely no regard for the safety of anyones (including themselves) safety. Women, children and even us men are in danger if we intend to utilize HYWAY 58 between 2100 & 0200 EVERY night. These relatively few peolpe, acting like juveniles, have a devestating effect on the health and well being of the home folks and the forigeners that call this beautyfull island thier home for the short period of time that we are here. If I couuld only capture the high speed chases on video you would be astounded. Please pray that the brave JP's that are trying to make Okinawa a truely frendly & safe place to live and raise a family are successful. As for me I support thier actions to the max and please spare me the rethoric of if I do not like it just move to another location. That is a cop out and just shows the skewed thinking of those big brains. Some times if you want change, you have to force it! Cheers and happy St. Pattys day to all.

What's a rice grinder?

A racist term used to describe any motorized vehicle produced in Japan.

I guess I am pretty tough. I have never felt threatened by gangs of unruly utes on 400 cc motorcycles. But then I am not laying down in intersections at midnight either.

I guess the gaijin newbie doesn't know the JP's run some big bikes, and some new Skylines. :)

He'll know when HE gets pulled over for a "random check" while the bozos ride circles through the intersection.

Oh I thought that was a "ricer" or "rice burner". Oh well, I'd take a twin turbo supra, celica GT-Four, or Silvia S15 spec R over most "non ricers" any day:thumbup:

I have a rice burner on the stove right now. It's a 3 quart stainless steel pot I forgot about when I was boiling some rice one day. I think I'm going to throw it out instead of trying to clean it.

Yes, remember the movie, and the now infamous quote. Also noticed the discussion about youths and youts on the board here not so long ago. Did wonder if Ass's new surroundings are influencing his work, with the Freudian Utah slip and all...

Well, stop wondering. Gawd I'd hate to think my utterances would cause you to max out your brain cells.

As far as my "work" goes, shouldn't you be concentrating on that 900 yen an hour Engrish job?

I was called a "rice grinder" once by a fellow Marine, after I started dating this one Japanese woman. I think he was just jealous though.
