Anybody know if there is going to be a St. Pats parade this year out on B.C. Street? I was here 2 years ago for the first one & am hoping to see it again. Yeah, there wasn't much to it, but I'm a shutterbug & there was plenty of sights to hone my skills on.

yep.. Parade starts at 3pm..I think.. Maybe 2pm?? 14 March.. This saturday

I am SO going! I wanted to go last year, but had the worst flu EVER! Now im just hoping it wont get rained out =( Like the original poster, I am mostly excited about capturing some great pics of crazy drunks and other sites. (Hopefully I will be one of the crazy drunks, hubby already offered to be DD =)

I think the article said 3pm but I won't buy you a beer for being wrong. I probably won't even be there. I might go though, I'd like to walk but it's quite a hike from Araha (Hamby). I bet I could make it in a little over an hour though, maybe I'll test it out.

OK....i've changed my mind. I'm gonna drink beer at the St. Patty's Day Parade/Fest. Probably walk up there just before the parade, after drinking a few beers at the house then see if I can join the Parade. I can march with a bongo drum. Bongo drums are Irish right?

yup, that's about how long it takes. i walked from the ferris wheel to gate 2 street. i won't be doing that again...

I always have green dripping from me shilelagh so I'm good!! A skull shirt will be fine.. as LONG as u have a bar of "Irish Spring" in you pocket, just to keep the demons at bay!!

You're good, I read that blue was the original St. Patricks color and it got changed to green just recently, like the 1950's or something. So just say you're rockin' the old skool.

To Whom all concerned: It ended up being a awesome day, it stopped raining, the sun came out, and a mess o' people showed up for the parade and bands and had a really cool time. Twas a really good pre-St Paddys Day party. For those peeps that couldnt get the nuggets up to show up.......pfft. It was a great party. Martin and his friends did a bang up job.

I really wanted to be there, but it was white day and my wife wanted me to DD for her. We had to go to her friend's place at 4 and we were supposed to leave early enough for me to get down to gate 2/chuo street, but I was stuck there pretty much all night and didn't get to go:thumbdown:. Maybe next year.

I think that most of them were of Latino descent, but yea, why in the hell on an Irish holiday? Freakin ponderous :scratchchin: Now I need a few guinness to help me figure this one out or make me forget what I was thinking about.
