I'll probably see it and it will probably be mediocre just like every other super hero movie (besides batman:D).

The classic ones they've been making for a while now will always do good. But ever since the success of the X men and spiderman movies they've been trying to make new movies for every superhero. Just look the hulk, daredevil, electra, fantastic 4, ghost rider, and the punisher. Some of those were pure crap while some of them were merely "ok". Superheros movies tend to make money right now so hollywood will continue to puke up more crappy movies. I'm wondering if there is a comic book or grapic novel they won't touch.

watchmen is pretty good.....of course I can relate to the comedian and Rorschach,
i will say my favorite line was when he was in prison"Im not locked up in here, with you...You are locked up n here with me"

no fetish. quite the opposite. more of a phobia. Call it Peniphobia or you could call it just Homophobia. Not really a fear, more of an extreme dislike...

I saw the movie the other night and would have to rate it a C. Beside the fact that Dr. Manhattan is obviously a nudist (he coulda put a loincloth or something on more often), the thing I really didnt personally care for was having no backround on the heros. Who truly had superpowers and who didn't (besides Manhattan)?

The movie was based on an amazing graphic novel. If you havent read it I highly suggest you go out and do so it will make you all warm and fuzzsy inside. Though I dont think they portrayed dr manhattens umm cahoolios like that ^^

none of them had superpowers. doc manhatten had no nudist fetish, he just didn't feel like he was part of the human race any longer and also didn't care what the lowly humans felt. although, I could've done without it, but i just chose to not pay attention to it.
what do you mean no background? they explained why the doc was that way, explained rorschach, explained silk spectre, I and II, explained the comedian. do you really need someone to actually hold your hand and go all the way back to birth for every character?

From what I have heard from people who have read and know the comic they enjoyed it. I myself have not though and my opinion was that there were too many characters for me to actually care about any of them. Some parts were great. The one C-6 mentioned was probably one of the better parts of the movie.
I guess as a whole it wasn't aweful just really long and not enough content on the characters. at the end I stopped caring completely and just wanted to know what was happeneing. Visually it was amazing.

Rorshach'sline was the best of the movie. Great flick. I'd read the graphic novel. Fantastic. i"d say it was great popcorn stuff but you have to pay attention.

How so? They all seemed superpowered to an extent. Not many chicks can take on an entire prison.

not superpowered, just exceptionally skilled. if someone like Bruce Lee were wailing on me, I'd think he was superhuman too. even so, they weren't superhuman like your average superhero, more like physically gifted ala the punisher. he wasn't superhuman but he'd put the hurt on ya. hell, not many men could take on a prison, but then again, the prisoners weren't using any fighting techniques, just bum rushing them one at a time.
no many chicks can take on a prison? obviously you haven't seen "Debbie Does Folsom"!

I'll just chaulk it up to being a movie/based on a comic book.

I saw it twice & I'm not even a comic book nerd! I liked the varying styles going on. You had retro, sex, action, sci-fi & bloody gore all wrapped up into one movie. The few blue sausage sightings were nothing shocking. Its a trend now for some reason. "Walk Hard, Zack & Miri, Forgetting Sarah marshall" all had schlong & they were comedies.
