Hi all,
I'm planning on coming to okinawa in September this year and am trying to find the best ( and cheapest of course) flights there from the UK.
Has anyone any advice on the best way to acheive this?
I plan ( with another 5 of my friends) to fly our from Birmingham UK ( BHX) on 10th September ( arriving Naha around 1600hrs 11th sept).
We plan to return either 17th/18th/19th back to the UK. We're flexible here.

Dude, you have a long ass flight ahead of you. My Dad just recently visited me from Belgium and he was in the air for almost 2 days. As, far as getting tickets I think you are better off working that out with a travel agency over in the UK.

It's true it's a long flight but not quite 2 days lol ( unless you count the time difference)
I was hoping maybe someone had been from UK to OKA and had used a decent travel agents.
I can easily find flights to the mainland but that extra flight from Osaka to Naha is the pain. Mention Okinawa to most travel agents here and they are like "Where" say Japan and they say" Ooooh" :scared:

The best and cheapest way I have found is via Dubai on Emirates on via Qatar on Qatar Air, Emirates is worth the extra. This put and extra 7 hours plus transfer time on the trip over a direct flight to Japan. For the the flight to Naha your best booking your self on the internet. From Tokyo Skymark is cheapest. *tokyo has 2 air ports and its a 2 -3 hours to transit between them. Thats why I always fly into Kansai Int. Its is always worth checking JAL and ANA for deals as they usual y include the price of the domestic flight in the price. Be prepared to spend one nigh in the mainland. The other option is to come via Korea or Taiwan as the both have international flights to naha

Thanks for that info. I currently have a price of 730GBP flying with Air France and Japan Ailines with a 7 hour stop in Osaka which isn't too bad. We're pretty much sorted with flights if this one fits the bill but hey i'm always looking to save a few pounds :thumbup1:

Not quite Ninja but yeah we're on a MA trip:thumbup: so as we do Goju Ryu Thailand wouldn't suit us :) plus I'm sampling the place before I bring the wife....maybe

Well if we take up the flight we have so far then we have a seven hour wait in Osaka which we'll hopefully use as a bit of sight seeing time.
Any suggestions?
