Total lunar eclipse to be visible next TuesdayThe total eclipse, in which the entire full moon passes through the Earth's umbral shadow, will begin at 6:52 p.m. and end at 8:22 p.m. Tuesday, and the full moon glowing dimly in a red copper color will be visible from around 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the southeastern sky, the Japanese astronomical observatory said.

Very awesome cool! :thumbup: I'll have to remind the husband to remind me about this. I've never had the opportunity to see one of these.
Really glad I found this story. I don't think I've ever seen one either. :D

Last time I saw an eclipse was a solar one back once I was in 4th grade. I'll defiantly keep my eyes to the sky on Tuesday.

TOKYO — People across Japan will be able to witness a total lunar eclipse next Tuesday night, the first time in six years the astronomical phenomenon will be visible in the country, according to the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan.
Taken from the link...kind of easy to assume that it would be Tuesday Sept
4th or is that just me.:eek:
It was TONIGHT and not next Tuesday:cursing::cursing:
However it was pretty cloudy and would have been difficult to see anyway. NHK news just showed some footage of it from Hokkaido.

The clouds and rain made it impossible for us to see it. :cursing: Of course, now that it's mostly done, the skies are clear.
