What do you guys think about something like this?

The only thing I'm worried about is that space may become an issue and we (JU) may need to move on to dedicated hosting if this takes off, which costs a lot more than we're currently paying...

Does this sound like something you guys would want to use? JU isn't hurting for money, so IF we need to eventually push on to dedicated hosting, its' not that big of a deal. I just don't want to install this if it's going to be a waste.

Another one I'm looking into is vbGallery. I don't have any links at the moment, but google it if you want. Please, if you've posted pictures, think this over and give me an answer. There are several other gallery solutions available as well (some not free, but that's fine), so please let me know if you see one that you like. Just google "vbulletin photo gallery" and you should find some results.

Unfortunately, it's hard to say right now. I see a lot of photos being posted via other websites that host the photos. Is it a bandwidth issue or storage issue? Are we looking to store our pictures via a JU hosted site? If so, could that be useful for JU in its regular paper development to use their own photos in online articles?

It's a storage issue. We're already a few hundred megabytes over our quota, but our hosting provider doesn't seem to care. They just charge us more per __ megabytes over the quota.

Nah, we wouldn't use this for the JU paper at all. It'd just be for us forum members.

In that case, it's an additional expense that could be used in other more practical ways. Perhaps posters could continue to link pictures rather than attaching them?

Let's just say: This website makes a lot of money, so we might as well put some of that money back into the website so it can be even better, and potentially make a lot more money. :p
