I buzz my own too Tim. You can get good enough for the taper and the flat top, by the way. Just don't wait for Sunday afternoons and a beer buzz to attempt it. :)
In a few years when the Peter Frampton look comes back in style, we'll have to hit up the beauty shops again though. Thank God for that Neo-Nazi military fashion eh? :)
You can also use those same clippers for than mandatory mouth pussy everyone sports....the moustache and half goatee thing that 9 out of 10 men sport.
I'm thinking of going with the Elvis look next. Long hair, parted on the side and mutton chop burns trimmed down. Wear a white Tee shirt too, maybe roll up my smokes in a sleeve....unless they are illegal by then.

I used to spend about the same amount here too, back about 10 years ago.
For the most part I do it myself.:D

I've seen your photo Muku. (since you are too cheap to come up this way) What do you do, cut off a half inch once a year?
Used to be like $3 at the barber on base. I don't know if things changed for everyone or since I'm a civilian I don't get the discount but I went for the first time in over a year a couple weeks ago and it was $7. If I had thick hair on top still I'd let it grow and spend good money out in town on it. Thinking about trying the Paulie Walnut's wings but I don't think I'm old enough to pull it off w/out looking like a complete idiot. Although if I gre mine out it would look quite similar to Paulie's just more curly. I'd have to get it straightened.

pauly rocks on the sopranos...the story line about being adopeted, abandoning his aunt/mom and then getting back together to watch tv with his mom was one of the best storylines of the sopranos...the wings are cool by the way...for an older guy of course......:)

I used to pay about 8 bucks for a cut but I haven't been able to find a good place back here in the states yet so I do it myself.

Wow, what's with the flattery today? There happens to only be one person from JU that has taken a picture of me and they are no longer on island. And that photo is well over 1 year old already.
If you were there anxious to see me all you had to do is ask.<3 :barf:
Also if you saw my photo then you should also know that what you wrote here makes really no sense.
I think your memory needs a bit of refreshing here as well AH. You have had your chance to come down here as you were invited previously, and YOU accepted, however you never showed and afterwards never gave any reason for not showing up either.
I went to two of the first meets at Jon Jons and if memory serves me right you never showed at either one even after voting Yes to the poll when everyone was checking to see how many people to make reservations for.
Seems like accepting invitations and then not showing without any explanations afterwards is a habit with you.
Who is the cheapskate?:scratchchin:

Haircut ?!?!?.....wtf is a haircut?

02-12-2009, 07:31 AM
Depanding on the yen rate it's around 7 bucks. But I have yet to get a quality haircut out here. The base barbers always make my fade uneven...I guess it doesn't matter since I have to get it cut the next week. I miss my old barber "Asian Tony" in 29 Palms...good cut everytime.
Now I don't know which two dates I missed, but I do know hell hath no wrath like a woman scorned!
ROFLMAO! Just spit out my morning coffee no less!
Well said AH, :first: but I wonder if you realize why I am laughing so hard right now?
Not that you would ever admit it here anyway and no need to reply either needless to say I find it ironic.
Can any thread not become a bitch fest?
P Chan for the number of times that AH has made little snide sophmoric comments on seemingly countless numbers of threads here about me, and to the actual number of times I have actually replied, well you know the anwer to that one.:D

Muku, I most CERTAINLY do. LMAO! You gotta figure if communication goes one way, it will undoubtedly flow the other way!!!!
However, "I" make no inferences to any parties involved in a public forum. So while I may make "sophmoric" comments, I do have integrity.

Well guess what, I never made a direct reference on this thread either, however remember that is how you choose to take it.
The onus is on you for assuming that one.
And I will add here that until you made this comment that I was not thinking about any individual person here either, but since you did write this, that makes it even more hilarious:first:
Also keep this in mind when you start make comments about integrity AH, I can and will say with complete honesty and conviction that I have never made any disparaging comments about you that you haven't been a part of knowing about. Meaning any comments I made about you that could possibly be seen as negative were here on the open forum where you could see them.
Also it means that while I may not see I to eye with you about certain things I also do not talk trash behind people's backs AND please for your sake don't even go assuming to know who or where that one came from either, because I am certain you would be 100% incorrect.
wow.. from haircuts to catfight..
LMFAO
I have had my say and unless something pertinent to the discussion appears I think that the sections unrelated to the OP should be moved off topic and dumped into the trenches.
I am going to report my own post here and ask that it be done.
I also apologize to those inconvenienced by this as well.

I should just shave my head and drink an extra case of beer every month. I'd probably look like a cancer patient, though.

I used to pay around $8 + a tip of $2.....and kill about an hour and a half on a Saturday.....now I just do it myself. It's at least as good as some of these newbie recent beauty school graduate chicks best efforts.

I normally pay $300+ It's not just a haircut though, I get the works.
I get a nice shave using the best in aloe shaving cream with a only the most pristine spring water from Switzerland used to soak my pores. The razor itself is fashioned from iron and folded over 7000 times to ensure each bristle is shaved within micrometers of the skin.
My Hair is washed and conditioned using some of best soap that is hand made using the fat from hammerhead sharks and dolphins and is imported fresh weekly from Bora Bora.
The half naked attendant (female of course) then ravishes my fingers with her mouth to soften up my cuticles before my manicure.
This is topped of by a full body massage by the same female attendant and an accomplice (again female) who are now also naked.
No need to mention how this ends for me..
The final foray into luxury is a bottle of white wine sipped while overlooking the ocean.
Entire deal, 3 hours!
A cut from a pure professional who knows how to cut hair.
A Man must stay looking good!!

I pay about Y3500 every two or three months... I could probably get the same thing done for a lot cheaper, but it's nice... and I obviously don't have a problem being stupid with money from time to time...

yes it does. White's hair is much easier to cut than a blacks hair. Blacks have to have a person who understand how to cut this style of hair. White's hair is pretty universal.. Am I being racial. No, I'm talking English where too many people are too afraid to speak the truth. It's funny how people are are concerned to speak their mind because of their job. **** the job, become the boss and let people speak their mind. Would actually find out who is the REAL racist. Not pointing any fingers, but better to be out front, than hide behind a collage>?!:smile4:

If so I propose it certainly includes the goatee.
