Deep sea fishing

does anybody know of any deep sea fishing trips here? I heard that they go fishing for mahi mahi out here is this true?

Yeah, the Kadena Marina does some charters as well as Captain Billy. (http://www.saltwater-fishing-okinawa.com/)

There are also billfish, wahoo, and of course snapper and grouper here.

Yeah, i go out with Capt Billy... and really have never been upset with the end result. For mahi, you will catch them here and there... its better to go out for them during the run.

Yeah, there's all kinds of day fishing trips. American and Japanese boats go out almost every day at certain times of year. We usually go when the Mahi and Wahoos are running. We got a bunch of Rainbow Runners also the last time we went out. We usually leave from Awase Port. Fish &drink all day, then clean 'em, then Grill & drink all night.

This was exactly what I looked like 90% of my only deep-sea trip. I kissed the ground when I got back. Cap. Billy took us 3 hrs out (which I hated him for), and I never thought I'd get sick but about a half hr into it I was praying for land while hanging over the side the rest of the trip! Good times and Cap. Billy is a pretty cool guy.

Yeah, some people don't do to well on the waves. I like to taunt people by drinking beer and eating food right in front of them. Then make puking sounds until someone hurls over the rail. Great fun. Plus, the chum attracts the fish.

I usually eat sashimi and chew it up real good with lots of wasabi and open my mouth up to the rail hangers. They start upchuckin' stomach lining by then:D

The wahoo start in April. The mahi start soon after, but are all chickens. (Small) Most of the people I know who fish release the mahi because they are a pain in the ass to deal with. (Clean, screw up the lure spread, etc)

Once you catch a few of them, they are not so tasty compared to tuna and wahoo.
