I'm looking for a digital recorder, and some other computer-based recording equipment (XLR to USB preamp, etc). Are there any music stores anyone could suggest other than Fukuhara and Teruya outside gate 2? Their selection is quite limited, and they have next to 0 digital equipment, although Teruya is at least reasonably priced, for what they've got.

regardless where u buy in oki, it's going to be more than u want to pay for a new item. Even the store in japan where i buy most of my gear is marked up from american sites, soundhouse.jp, so unless u need it yesterday, i would recommend u buy from the states, musiciansfriend, americanmusical, pssl, just to name a few. and most will ship free if order of 100 bucks.
now if u want used, there are a few areas here in oki u might find one, ie. pawn shops etc..........
there is a store in naha, called boss music that caters too mostly studio gear, ie recorders etc, but don't know exactly where there at.

Thanks, I'll look for it with my GPS. I figured I wouldn't find a place here with cheap equipment, but I hadn't even thought of looking at used gear.
