Sorry I haven't been doing the contest here. I've been really busy but as soon as my leave is over and I get back into my mind numbing self, I'll start them up again. But for now....seeing as we are nearing the Cherry Blossom Festival in Nago (Jan 31), lets throw up some pictures of Cherry Blossoms! Get creative! I'm trying to pick some, and put them next to my favorite dish and drink for a small studio shot. Hope to see some of yours!

Also, I'm trying to visit all the castles I can and when I'm done, I'll post up the photos of each! This is turning out to be very fun.

I like checking out everybodys Okinawa pics. I took a bunch while here in 2007 & am looking forward to taking a bunch this time around.
I will be on Okinawa for the next 10 weeks. I'm TDY with the unit from Langley AFB. I'm going to the Festival in Nago this weekend. I hear its pretty, but really crowded during the festival.

Here some from Last Year.

Im still deployed and had nothing really better to do on night watch; so I photoshopped a few of my favorite pictures.

Being there in person does not do justice for the original pictures I took. It was cloudy, and barely any sun at all. A little editing brings out what I saw through my eyes. My wife posed on a few. Enjoy!

These were some of the last pictures I took with my old camera before it broke. I got my new on around christmas time that year.

First one is my favorite because it was a pain in the ass to get a good picture of one of those little birds.

Now that I think of it, that first picture was taken with my new camera. It was taken on a tuesday after I got back from a TDY. I was on leave and wanted to try out my new camera but sakura season was pretty much over. So I drove up to Mt. Yae anyways but there were only a small handfull of trees worth taking pictures. I remember because it was refreshing being there without a bunch of crowds:D. On the way back down there was one really nice tree and thats where I saw the little bird and snapped a picture. The rest of them were taken with my old camera from the 2007 season at Mt. Yae and Nago castle.

I have more, but those two are my favorites.

Here is a pic I took from the cherry blossom tree that was in our backyard. A few days later all the pretty pink blossoms were gone =( I miss my tree, I must plant one at the new house =)
