Uezu info

We are finally moving off base! We are going to be living in Uezu. I have never really ventured into that area and could use all the info you guys have! =)
good restraunts, parks, and anything else!
If anyone could tell me if there is a pre-school that is close to the area that is good for us please let me know!

I have no idea where Uezu is, perhaps it is a small area in Okinawa city.
Just like I live in an area of Ginowan, which is made up of lots of different areas.

Perhaps if you give us some landmarks, large shops, bearings, people could help you more.
I think a lot of people who live off-base may not even know their address offhand.

Yeah, where is Uezu? All I can find is some business named Uezu in Urasoe. If that's the area then you're gonna be one of very few Americans....

I was being a wise ass. The area is not even a formal town, just a local name for a small area outside of Courtney....Jeez.............:D

That does sound familiar now, Uezu around Courtney.

Well, Courtney, my favorite Izakaya w/ the best food I've had at an Izakaya ever is right down the road from Courtney. It's called Garam, and you can get details in the dining threads. I reccommend the shrimp w/ Uni sauce. One night I couldn't quit ordering them.

I passed through Uezu on my last visit......they have like a strip mall or something.....smaller stores.....small park near it?????

The initial question was posed as if the guy is making a PCS move 15 minutes (in traffic) from the front gate of Courtney! :rolleyes:

Kinda quiet area...not too far from McT housing, 10 minutes from Gushikawa JUSCO, Makeman, Nitori, Sports Depot, Yamada Denki. 15-20 min to Comprehensive Park. Lots of resturants within 15 min drive...nothing really within walking distance though.
