About Translation AdsYou may be wondering why translation ads are double the cost of their respective ad classifications. For instance, a Business Gold ad without translation costs $10 per week where a Business Gold ad with translation costs $20 per week with a $5 translation fee. Here's why: The $5 translation fee is a one time fee you will pay with any translation ad you place. Regular ads are usually free, but if you place a regular ad with translation, you still have to pay the $5 translation fee. Once your ad is translated into Japanese, you ad will appear in BOTH the English and Japanese versions of the Island Market Online Classifieds, thus giving you double the exposure for a single ad. You will reach both the English speaking and local Japanese audiences. Regular classifieds are free to post and appear in our newspaper on a space-available basis. However, ALL Japanese translations appear in our newspaper, whether the original ad was a regular (free) ad or a business elite ad. The price is double for all other ad classifications (Business, Business Gold, Business Elite, etc) because each translation ad will be submitted to both the English and Japanese versions of the Online Island Market Classifieds. So, when our front page says that a Business Gold ad with translation costs $20 per week, what you are paying is $10 per week for the English ad, $10 per week for the Japanese ad, and a $5 one-time translation fee.
