Competition fosters marching band interestDate Posted: 2009-12-17 ![]() A Super Marching Competition is taking place at the Okinawa Convention Center’s Exhibition Hall to share the enthusiasm with the general public. The Wednesday, Dec. 23 event is sponsored by the Japan Marching Bands Association and the Okinawa Branch of the National Baton Twirling Association. The first set of bands start at 11 a.m. while the second stage begins at 3 p.m. Tickets cost ¥2,000 for advance S Seats, while advance A seats go for ¥1,500 and advance B Seats cost ¥1,000. Tickets at the door are ¥500 more. Performing bands include the Nishihara High School, Oroku High School and Nago High school. Tickets are on sale at Lawson’s, and at record shops across Okinawa. |
