New fish market opens at MinatomachiDate Posted: 2001-08-22 The market is named “Uminchu Market” and located within the Minatomachi Fishing Port in Minatomachi, Naha City. The Association ran the market until eight years ago, but it has been closed since then. Group Payao will take over the management, and the market will offer a variety of fresh local fish caught off Naha the same day, including Bonito and Tuna, at about thirty percent less than prices at supermarkets and other regular outlets.
