Miyazato gals finish 2nd, 6th at LPGA ChampionshipsDate Posted: 2012-06-15 Feng became the fist Chinese player to win an LPGA Tour tile, and a major at the same time, closing with a two-stroke victory with a 5-under-67. Feng held on to stay ahead of Mika Miyazato, Stacy Lewis, Suzanne Petterson and Ji Eun-he, who all tied for second place. Their wins were worth $158,440 each. Ai Miyazato, who’d said before the LPGA Championship “”I’ve been practicing with this in mind.” It wasn’t enough, as she tied for 6th, a stroke behind the pack. The placing give her $73,285, but her performance was not good enough to hold onto her fourth place ranking in the world standings. She dropped to 6th in the Rolex LPGA Rankings this week. |
