Police Arrests American Serviceman for Vandalism

A phone call to the police from an inhabitant of Kin-cho informed the security officers that an American military serviceman had suddenly broken through the entrance of another man's home, and destroyed glasses amounting to ¥50,000. This happened barely three nights into the New Year, on January 3rd at around 2:45 a.m.

When the police officers reached the site after having received notification from the inhabitants of the house that has damaged, they came and found a 23-year old man, Kirkendall Matthew Jr, in the street in front of that house. The police officers immediately caught the man and questioned him. He admitted having caused the damage. According to police investigation , the young man was drunk at the time he committed the offense and caused damage to another's property. He was detained for having committed acts of vandalism.
