Nago City to Hold Pressed Flower Design CompetitionDate Posted: 2000-01-08 The pressed flowers should be mailed to the Nago City Sightseeing Association office with a ¥3000 postal money order which serves as a registration fee. The design should be in a white-colored frame with size of 49cm in length and 40cm in width. Applicants need to specify name, phone number, address, postal code, age and the kinds of plants used in their works on the back of frame. There is an exclusive application form that the applicants should fill out and submit to the office. Applicants can get the application form through the Nago City Sightseeing Association. The designs will be gathered and displayed from Wednesday, January 19th through Wednesday, 26th at 21 Seiki-no-mori sub-arena. The visitors to this exhibition will determine the winners of the competition by vote and by a special selection committee. Winners will be determined and announced around Wednesday, January 26th. At the site of the exhibition, there will also be booths set up for all interested in learning the art of pressed flower design. The public will therefore have a chance to participate directly in the activities.
