New appliance shop opens in Korinza Mall in Okinawa City

The troubled Korinza Shopping Mall in Okinawa City got a bit new relief with the opening of a new Best Denki home appliance store, Sunday. The store that’s a part of the same concern that operates Computown computer store that has been in the mall for about a year sells electric home appliances including TVs, stereos, washing machines, cellular phones and others.

At the opening ceremony Okinawa City Mayor Masakazu Nakasone who is also the president of Korinza Building Corp. said that the opening of the new store is an important landmark in rehabilitating Korinza and invigorating the whole area. “With the opening of this store, Korinza building as now succeeded renting 90 percent of its available store space. I’m sure that this shop will attract plenty of customers and that will not only bring good profits to Best Denki but boost business in surrounding areas as well,” Nakasone said. The new shop also created jobs for 20 workers.
