A woman lost control of her car and crashed into a utility pole in Yoza, Itoman City, Sunday. The crash killed her one-month-old son who had been on the back seat on the woman’s sister’s lap. According to Itoman Police, the woman had approached an intersection and somehow went over the centerline to the other side of the road as it tried to make a turn. It then crashed into a utility pole. After the crash, the women took the baby to a hospital where he died of head injuries. The police concluded that the woman had fallen asleep while driving resulting in the accident.
