Community to pick names for Stork’s Nest cottagesDate Posted: 2009-11-05 Friends of the Stork’s Nest are celebrating the expansion of the Stork’s Nest, which has added four new cottages and four BOQ rooms belonging to the organization. The organization wants the local military community to select names for the eight new locations, which will serve patients of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and other parts of the hospital that have traveled to Okinawa from other parts of the Pacific to receive medical treatment. The group is asking the community to submit a name for one of the units by sending an email to storksnest@hotmail.com by November 27th. The email should provide the chosen name, a brief rationale for why your title should be chosen by the Stork’s Nest board. Include your name and organization along with the title. Friends of the Stork’s Nest officials say it relies heavily on volunteers and donations from the local community to stay in business, and now want those volunteers and supporters to choose the unit names. |
