Naha man busted for child abuseDate Posted: 2009-07-16 Ken Nishiwakugawa has confessed to police that he abused the young boy, but officers think there’s even more to the case and have expanded their investigation. When school officials saw many bad burn marks on the boy’s body and neck ten days ago, they contacted the Central Children’s Council Center, where the boy was examined and taken to a hospital. Hospital officials quickly called police after viewing cigarette burns on the boy’s stomach, feet, legs and other body parts. The youngster, his mother and two sisters have been living with Nishiwakugawa. Police say Nishiwakugawa has not been straight with them, and he’s not admitted to everything. The mother, meanwhile, has admitted to police he abused her son. The boy is now in custody of the Central Children’s Council Center. |
