U.S. Naval Hospital to get new commander

Captain Brian S. Dawson will soon wrap up his tour as commander of the U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa and head for a new posting.

Dawson will relinquish his command to Captain Terry J. Moulton, at the Foster Theater on June 12th at 9 a.m. Dawson’s heading to the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery in Washington D.C. Moulton is coming to Okinawa from Millington, Tennessee, where he served as Naval Personnel Command’s Branch Head for the Medical Department Officer Distribution Branch.

The Naval Hospital will close some offices and operate with reduced services on the day of the change of command, in order for hospital personnel to participate.

Administrative areas and walk-in services such as Outpatient Records, Birth Registrations, Billing Office and immunization clinics will be closed. Emergency care will still be available in the Emergency Department. Clinical and surgical appointments previously scheduled will stay as scheduled.
