Nago mother attempts to strangle daughterDate Posted: 2009-04-30 The woman told police she “wanted to kill my children and die myself, too” because “my life has been so hard.” She gave in to the urge about 5:30 a.m. Saturday, entering the family sleeping room and grabbing her daughter by the throat. As the girl struggled and made noise, her brother woke up and looked at the mother and daughter, then tried to help. The mother quickly turned on the young boy, grabbing a kitchen knife and stabbing him in the back. Both youngsters battled the mother, then were able to escape and run to a nearby relative’s home to seek help. Taken to a hospital for treatment, doctors and relatives asked them to recount what happened. Police were summoned, and they went to the home and apprehended the woman. Police say both the son and daughter are not seriously injured. |
