Date Posted: 2009-04-17

One-stop entertainment has taken on a new meaning in Okinawa, as Japanese amusement & bowling center operator Round1 opens a pair of sprawling facilities in Ginowan City and Haebaru Town.

Round1 specializes in operating amusement complexes with dozens of different sports, games and relaxation centers. Round1’s first center, in Ginowan near the Seaside Park and Okinawa Convention Center, made its debut February 21st, and a second Round1, in Haebaru City, opens its doors April 25th. There’s so much to see and do at a Round1, it’s a matter of personal choice what customers decide.

The first floor at Round1 is a huge amusement and game place, with a reception area and more activities such as karaoke, darts, billiards and games on the second floor. The third floor is dedicated to a 38-lane bowling center, while the fourth floor is dedicated to simply relaxation.

And it gets even better. The fifth, sixth and seventh floors are sports oriented, with more than 40 different types of activities offered to customers. The concept, called Spo-cha, features ping pong, tennis, rodeo, golf, archery, pocket bicycling, basketball, mini football, and a whole bunch more.

It’s pay-as-you-go for some activities, with package deals offered for others. Bowling is starts from \350 per game, but there are also package deals of starting from \1,280 for up to six games on weekdays, and a weekend package offer of three games starting from \1,000 for a family. (Some restrictions may apply.) There’s also a package offered to students from \750. (Bowling shoes rental will be charged separately)

Karaoke costs starting from \580/person for a three-hour block. Round1 offers special rooms with live stage for group couples to have party for 150minutes for \700/person with reservation accepted only from 4 persons. Spo-cha, which will be offered only at the Ginowan City Round1, starts from \1,180 for 1˝ hours and \1,600 for three hours.

There are \500 member cards available, and Round1 is offering the same price discounts as are available with the coupon offered with this week’s Japan Update advertisement. Round1 accepts only cash (yen only) and credit cards (charged in Japanese Yen). Free parking for 570 cars is available.
